Illustrated topographic ridgeline with a small red waypoint in the distance
Near focus → natural boundary → distance view

Route logic

Time suggests.
You choose the boundary.

Rigid timers become easy to ignore when they land mid-sentence. Pacer quietly marks the break as ready and waits for your signal.

  1. Read without interruption

A small local timer runs in the browser. It never watches the page, camera, or your behavior.

  2. Reach a natural stop

When the interval ends, finish the paragraph or task. Confirm the boundary from the toolbar or keyboard.

  3. Shift to the distance

A low-visual-load full-screen cue guides attention beyond the display for 20, 30, or 60 seconds.

Distance view

One horizon.
Nothing to dismiss.

Use the farthest comfortable real-world object you can see. The cue has optional vibration, a motion pause, and a complete reduced-motion treatment.

Private by default

No surveillance disguised as care.

This is an ergonomic prompt, not medical treatment or a productivity score. Your reading route stays on your device.

No camera access

Pacer does not track your eyes, face, tabs, or page content.

Local-only storage

Timing settings and completed-break counts live in extension storage.

Fully disableable

One setting cancels scheduled reminders while keeping your preferences.

Accessible by design

Keyboard controls, screen-reader labels, high contrast, and reduced motion are built in.
